Watsonville PD did use the D.A.R.E.
program for a number of years.
From what I understand they no longer are involved with D.A.R.E.
The Van in the picture
was used by DARE Officer Mike Ciglar when WPD
had the D.A.R.E. program in operation. The picture was taken at one of
our Rock 'N Rod Nites Shows. We ran the Rock 'N Rod Nites Summer
Car Show series for 6 years, and during that time supported the WPD
D.A.R.E.
program. The fully restored Patrol Car pictured above is what some of
the
funds that we generated went toward. Unfortunately when the car was
unveiled last year (2002), we didn't get notified of the unveiling...
